Great get owls are the largest species of owl by length. It is found distributed across the northern hemisphere and is the only species in the Genus Strix found in both Eastern and Westerns hemispheres.

This is one of our personal favourite species and one of our friends least favourite as they live in northern Sweden and as a child was scared by one while climbing a tree.

We wanted to replicate the dark tundra forests of Sweden contrasted with pale beads symbolising the first snow that will stick to the ground, we also added red beading for the berries found on the forest floor. Lastly we added Russula Vesca mushrooms which are native to Sweden to add a little more dimension to the piece.

This piece is self standing, perfect for shelves or above the fireplace.
